Abstract:
      Two sets of 530 kt/a and 300 kt/a acid making systems in use by Jinchuan Group Copper Co., Ltd. were built in 2005 and 2006 respectively. In the original design of the two systems, conversion process adopts "3+1" double conversion and double absorption conversion process. In overhaul of synthetic furnace system in 2012, the 530 kt/a system conversion process was upgraded to "3+2" process, and the supporting waste heat boiler was added. However, the purification process and dry absorption process of the acid making system have not been upgraded, resulting in shortcomings in improvement of matching performance of the whole system. After adopting new technologies such as homocentric square shape sprinkler arrangement, new isobaric foam catcher placed horizontally and "tower tank integrated" concentrated acid absorption equipment, absorption rate of the absorption tower rises from 99.88% to 99.9%, acid mist content reduces by at least 50%, acid water discharge in purification process reduces by 40%, and fluorine content at outlet of second section electric demister of acid making system drops from 1.5 mg/m3 to 0.6 mg/m3. The removal rate of flue gas impurities rises by 60%. After increasing of volume of circulating tank of absorption tower, flue gas treatment capacity of acid making system rises by 0.3×105 m3/h (total of two systems).
