Abstract:
By means of metallographic analysis and SEM energy spectrum analysis, copper ornaments excavated from tombs of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in kindergarten of Guangdong Academy of Sciences were found to be brass containing lead, tin, iron and aluminum. Based on the analysis results, attached screws and degree of corrosion, it is considered that copper decoration originally belonged to a drawer’s copper handle and should be left over from late tomb-robbing, ruling out the possibility that the Toushi is spread through the sea route of Silk Road during the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
