| Abstract: |
| In order to verify the cementing performance and feasibility of water quenching slag in high-iron red mud through vortex reduction as a substitute for cement clinker, the basic properties of two slags, water-quenching slag (No.1) and non-water-quenching slag (No.2), were compared after high-temperature reduction of iron from red mud by random sampling. The National Standard (GB/T 18046—2017) was applied to conduct compressive and flexural experiments of cement mortar with ratios of 30% and 50% to verify performance of red mud high-temperature reduction iron-strength quenching slag as a cement clinker. The new method of "calcification-carbonization-moderate iron extraction" is adopted to treat low-grade bauxite and iron-containing red mud. The substitution amount of high-temperature water quenched slag in cement is 30% to 50%, and the activity index in cement is 99% above, which can completely be used as the main material of cement and can be used as a low-carbon environmental protection cementitious material. |
