Abstract:
      Al3Ti phase of intermediate alloy was prepared by mixing, pressing and sintering applying TiO2 powder, CaO and Al powder as raw materials. Phase composition, microstructure, and atomic valence state of samples were analyze and characterize by XRD, SEM-EDS, and XPS. The results show that Al3Ti, Al and CaAl2O4 are the main phases of the sintered products under the conditions including sintering temperature of 1 400 ℃, sintering time of 30 min, ratio of Al to Ti of 1.3, and ratio of Ca to Al of 1.6. The morphology of the sintered products shows phase distribution, and TiO2 is reduced step by step. It is feasible to prepare Al3Ti phase by sintering method.
