Abstract:
In recent years, the problem of environmental pollution caused by printing and dyeing wastewater has become increasingly serious. In order to deal with the printing and dyeing wastewater, methylene blue (MB) was used as the target degradation product, and nanometer copper oxides with fibrous and spherical morphologies were prepared by chemical precipitation and characterized by XRD and SEM. When catalyst dosage is 0.1 g, initial pH value is 9, initial methylene blue concentration is 5 mg/L, amount of H2O2 with mass fraction of 30% is 1 mL, the methylene blue solution has the highest degradation rate under ultraviolet light for 75 min. The degradation rate is still above 88% after methylene blue solution is recycled for three times, which showing excellent stability. When the morphology of nano-copper oxide is the same, the smaller the grain size of the sample, the better the catalytic degradation effect of methylene blue. Under the same experimental conditions, the catalytic degradation of methylene blue by spherical nanometer copper oxide is stronger than that by fibrous copper oxide nanoparticles.
