| Abstract: |
| The impurity content in titanium sponge is an important index reflecting the quality of titanium sponge and the level of reduction distillation, the distribution of impurities is an important factor affecting the grade division of titanium sponge. The contents of Fe and Mn impurities in samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). According to the measured data, the distribution of Fe and Mn content (mass fraction) in titanium sponge was obtained, and the distribution of Fe and Mn impurities in titanium lump was studied. The results show that content of Fe is the lowest in the central part of titanium sponge, followed by the upper and lower parts of the central part. The closer to the wall and bottom of titanium sponge, the higher the content of Fe. The bottom skin and the side skin near the bottom are the parts with the highest iron content. The content of Mn is the lowest in the middle and upper part of titanium sponge , followed by the upper and lower parts of the middle and upper part. The farther towards the bottom, the higher the content of Mn. The bottom skin is the part with the highest Mn content. |
