Abstract:
The copper electrolysis production of top side two-way parallel flow and bottom side two-way parallel flow was compared from the aspects of electrolyte temperature, concentration of copper and acid in electrolyte, anode slime sedimentation, scaling cleaning and so on. The results show that two-way parallel flow on top side is beneficial to settling of anode mud, silver content in cathode copper can be reduced, and the cleaning time of anode mud is short; while flow of electrolyte in two-way parallel flow on bottom side is simple, circulation condition is good, and it is not conducive to anode mud sedimentation and washing. The two-way parallel flow electrolysis on top side is suitable for anode with high silver content, which is beneficial to improve recovery of silver. For the anode with low arsenic, high antimony and high impurity, the mole ratio of As/(Sb+Bi) in anode is less than 2, and the settlement of anode mud is poor, so it is suitable to adopt two-way parallel flow electrolysis at top side to improve settlement of anode slime. When the current density is higher (greater than 400 A/m2), the molar ratio of As/(Sb+Bi) in anode is more than 2, the anode mud sedimentation is good, and the bottom side two-way parallel flow should be adopted for better circulation conditions.
