| Abstract: |
| In order to explore the risk of waste-rock yard and supporting acid reservoir on the surrounding environment in typical copper mine area, the soil, surface water and sediment around the mine were investigated and analyzed, and their ecological environmental risks were evaluated as well. The investigation results show that pH value of soil around the mining area is 2.3—8.03, and the soil acidify to varying degrees. The total nitrogen and manganese in monitoring section at downstream of the acid reservoir exceed the class Ⅲ water quality standard of surface water, with the maximum exceeding multiple of 0.74 and 4.8 times, respectively. All the sampled sediments are polluted by copper, cadmium and zinc in varying degrees, and the maximum exceeding multiple is 8.24 times, 18.67 times and 0.03 time, respectively. The risk assessment results show that there are medium to high potential ecological risks for copper, cadmium, arsenic and mercury in soil, the ecological harm degree of cadmium in sediment is extremely high in both downstream of acidic reservoir and upstream of river, while the copper shows high risk in downstream of river. Contaminant concentrations in surface water don’t pose a risk to aquatic life. The concentration of pollutants in surface water will not pose a significant risk to aquatic organisms. |
