Abstract:
Effects of vacuum sintering conditions on specific surface area and surface morphology of tantalum powder prepared by sodium reduction method were studied. The empirical equations of initial sintering temperature and specific surface area of tantalum powder with different specific surface areas varying with vacuum sintering temperature were obtained by fitting. It is found that the specific surface area and micro morphology of tantalum powder do not change greatly when sintering below the initial sintering temperature. When the sintering temperature is higher than the initial sintering temperature, the specific surface area drops with the increase of vacuum sintering temperature, and the fine dendrites of tantalum powder become coarsening.
