Abstract:
The residual raffinate was used as raw material after Pt-Pd-Rh-Fe alloy enriched by plasma furnace was dissolved and extracted for palladium, and TOA-TBP mixed extractant was selected to extract and separate platinum. The extraction behavior of platinum by single TBP, TOA and mixed systems was studied. The results show that platinum extraction rate by 100% TBP is only 80.9% for the solution system with high base metals, and platinum extraction rate by 100% TOA at high concentration is close to 100%, however, the co-extraction rate of rhodium also increases, the highest up to 82.86%. The extraction rate of platinum is 99.9% above and co-extraction rate of rhodium is only 0.2% by mixed system of 95%TBP-5%TOA under the conditions including HCI concentration of 0.5 mol/L, phase ratio of 1, and rotation speed of 100 r/min. The stripping rate of platinum with 10 mol/L hydrochloric acid is 97.2% after loaded organic phase is washed by dilute hydrochloric acid. TOA-TBP mixed system can achieve efficient separation of platinum and rhodium, and this system has a synergistic effect on extraction of platinum.
