| Abstract: |
| Secondary aluminum dross and fly ash are two major solid wastes discharged from aluminum industry and thermal power industry, and their massive accumulation will cause serious ecological environment pollution. Applying high alumina material pretreated by secondary aluminum dross and fly ash as the main raw materials, and with addition of water reducer, binder and burned loss, the lightweight refractory was prepared by molding, curing and firing. The process conditions for preparing lightweight refractory insulation materials were optimized. It is determined that the ratio of high alumina material and fly ash is 40% and 60% respectively, sintering temperature is 1 250 ℃, and holding time is 20 min, the linear shrinkage of the samples after firing is 1.82%, apparent porosity is 60.57%, bulk density is 0.95 g/cm3, and the normal temperature compressive strength is 4.18 MPa. |
