| Abstract: |
| In order to prepare high performance tantalum powder with large specific surface area, based on the analysis of preparation of tantalum powder by reduction of potassium fluotantalate with sodium, the influence of main factors (reduction temperature, diluent ratio, reduction rate, and stirring speed) on properties of tantalum powder in reduction process was studied. The results show that specific surface area of reduced tantalum powder rises with the decrease of reduction temperature. The increase of reduction temperature will increase the corrosion of reaction vessel in reduction process, resulting in the increase of metal impurities. With the increase of diluent ratio, tantalum powder with large specific surface area can be formed, but the yield of tantalum powder will be reduced and the impurity content will be increased. Sodium injection speed and stirring speed are not the key factors affecting specific surface area of tantalum powder. |
