| Abstract: |
| Heavy metal contamination is a serious threat to crop safety and human health. A lot of researches on phytoremediation of heavy metal pollution have been conducted; among which microbial combined phytoremediation is considered an effective method to improve the heavy metal content. The mechanisms of microbial combined phytoremediation of heavy metals in recent years were reviewed. The researches on microbial combined phytoremediation applied to heavy metals in the past five years were summarized. The formation of a consortium between microorganisms and plants and the synergistic effect of plants and microorganisms can largely mitigate the environmental impact on plants to a great extent. In addition, microorganisms enhance the ability of plants to remediate heavy metals by enhancing plant resistance, promoting plant growth and reducing heavy metal toxicity. Due to the complex nature and complexity of the polluted environment, the research on the molecular mechanism of plant-microbial-metal interaction and the development of new technology for microbial combined phytoremediation will become the focus of research in the future. |
