| Abstract: |
| CdTe powder was prepared by co-precipitation and hydrogen reduction method applying high purity CdCl2 and TeO2 as raw materials and (NH4)2CO3 as precipitant. The phase transformation and microstructure change during the above process were analyzed by means of XRD, SEM, TG and other research methods. Based on the thermodynamic data of chemical reactions, the chemical reactions occurred in hydrogenation process were theoretically analyzed. The results show that when CdCl2 and TeO2 are mixed at a molar ratio of 1︰1, the Cd and Te co-precipitation product is obtained. Cd2+ precipitates on the surface of TeO2 in the form of CdCO3 with a size of 1~2 μm. The CdTe powder composed of single phase is successfully reduced under the atmosphere of hydrogen argon mixture (10% H2+90% Ar) at 500 ℃. |
