| Abstract: |
| A total of 31 surface water samples and 11 groundwater samples were collected in Nanchang section of the Fuhe River in December 2019 and June 2020 respectively, and concentration of nine ions (K+, Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+, Cl-, SO42-, HCO3-, CO32-, NO3-), pH value and TDS in water bodies were measured. Statistical analysis, Piper three-line diagram, Gibbs diagram and water quality evaluation were applied to study the water chemistry characteristics, control factors and irrigation suitability. The results show that the ion content and pH value are significantly affected by the season, and HCO3-, Ca2+ is the main anion and cation respectively both in dry period and wet period. The coefficients of variation of each ion are larger in the dry period than that in wet period, and it indicates the spatial variability of each ion is greater in dry period than in wet period. The water hudrochemical type is mainly Ca?Na-HCO3-, and the hydraulic connection between surface water and groundwater is close and frequent. The water chemistry is mainly controlled by rock weathering, but there is a trend of transition to atmospheric precipitation control during the wet period. The overall correlation between different ionic parameters is significant. The suitability evaluation results are excellent and good overall, and the wet water period is better than that in the dry period. |
