| Abstract: |
| Based on the collaborative simulation platform of ANSYS Workbench, a multi-field coupling simulation environment of Maxwell and Fluent simulation modules was built to explore the distribution of electric field and flow field in a copper electrolytic cell in a domestic factory. The results show that the high density current and electrical loss power in the copper electrolytic cell are mainly concentrated in the area between the plates. The cathode and anode plates can be regarded as equipotential surfaces. The current vector direction at the end of the anode plate diffuses outward from the end, and the electric field gradient is uniform. According to the distribution characteristics of the flow field, the fluid field in copper electrolytic cell can be divided into four areas. The electrolyte flow rate in the area between the cathode and anode plates is only about 9%, and there is about 1% flow "dead zone" at the bottom of the cell. |
