Abstract:
Cyanide tailings are the main hazardous solid wastes produced in the process of gold cyanidation and gold extraction. Iron-carbon micro-electrolytic filler was prepared by reduction roasting from cyanide tailings with high iron grade. The feasibility of treating benzohydroxamic acid wastewater was investigated by exploring the influence of preparation conditions and degradation conditions of fillers on the degradation effect of benzohydroxamic acid wastewater. The results show that the removal rate of phenylhydroxamic acid in wastewater is 80% above under the optimum roasting conditions including roasting temperature of 1 200 ℃, anthracite consumption of 20%, and roasting time of 10 min, and the optimum degradation conditions including dosage of iron-carbon micro-electrolysis filler of 3.75 g/L and pH value of the solution of 4. This method not only realizes the resource utilization of cyanide tailings, but also effectively degrades benzohydroxamic acid wastewater, and achieved the purpose of "treating waste with waste".
