| Abstract: |
| The electrical energy consumption of aluminum electrolysis cells is related to two factors: average voltage and current efficiency. Reducing the cell voltage or improving current efficiency can reduce the DC power consumption of aluminum electrolysis cells. Through systematic test of voltage balance, energy balance and current efficiency of a series of electrolytic cell, and in-depth analysis, the technical measures of energy saving and consumption reduction were put forward. The industrial test of two test tanks shows that the average voltage of the test tank is 3.819 V, the current efficiency is 92.89%, and the DC power consumption per ton of aluminum is 12 251 kWh. Compared with the series electrolytic cell, the average voltage is reduced by 99 mV, the current efficiency is increased by 1 percentage point, the DC power consumption per ton of aluminum is reduced by 455 kWh, and the energy saving effect is remarkable. |
