Abstract:
The Huangshi mining and metallurgy industrial heritage is rich in content and has a long history, however, when it comes to highlighting historical value, it is still necessary to discover sites that can serve as practical evidence over time. Based on the above situation, our team conducted a series of investigations on the mining and metallurgical industrial heritage in the Huangshi area. Through investigation, it was found that there was a cultural accumulation phenomenon from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Tang dynasty at the Jinpennao site in Yangxin. Copper smelting slag appears in the cultural layer. SEM-EDS and other scientific methods were used for observation. The analysis and testing of the excavated and collected slag from different periods of the site indicate that there is a situation of technological continuity and progress at this site. This study provides investigation evidence for the time series integrity of the mining and metallurgical industrial heritage in the Huangshi region, and provides evidence for enriching the historical value of the mining and metallurgical industrial heritage in the Huangshi region.
