| Abstract: |
| With its special geographical location, rich copper resources and many ancient mining and metallurgical sites, the Zongyang area become an important area for exploring the development of metallurgical technology in the Bronze Age of Anhui province. XRD, SEM-EDS and other methods were used to detect, analyze and study the slag unearthed from Zujiadun site in Zongyang area, Anhui province. The results show that the slags measured are all smelting slag. Based on the copper-sulfur ratio and the mining conditions of the surrounding mines, it is speculated that the ore used in the site is more likely to be copper sulfide ore. According to the metal particles mixed in the slag, it is judged that there may be two smelting activities of copper and arsenic copper at the same time in the Zujiadun site. It is not excluded that the arsenic copper is co-reduced of oxidized ore and arsenic-bearing sulfide ore. The source of arsenic material should be related to local polymetallic deposit in Tongling. |
