Abstract:
The effect of ratio of aldoxime to ketooxime in copper extractant on copper extraction performance was investigated. The influences of extraction phase ratio and pH value of leachate on the extraction properties of three new organic phase with different aldoximes/ketoxime ratio, as well as the effects of degradation products on the extraction performance of organic phases were investigated. The mixing test of the new organic phase with the operating organic phase in a copper wet smelter was carried out. The results show that different proportion of aldoxime and ketoxime has a great difference on copper extraction performance, among which new organic phase with aldoxime/ketoxime =7/3 has the best extraction performance and the weakest stripping performance. Aldoxime/ketoxime=6.5/3.5 new organic phase extraction and stripping performance is second; Aldoxime/ketoxime=6/4 new organic phase has the best stripping performance and the weakest extraction performance. Under the influence of the transformation of degradation products in the running organic phase, the stripping performance of the three organic phases and the running organic phase with the volume ratio of 3︰1 has been improved. Among them, the mixed organic phase with aldoxime/ketoxime=6.5/3.5 has both good extraction and stripping performance, and the net transfer of copper is the best under all conditions, which is more suitable for the production and operation of a copper wet smelter. The research results provide direction and reference for the optimization of extraction process and the selection of suitable extractant in copper wet smelting industry.
