| Abstract: |
| In view of the adverse effects of zinc on product quality and productivity in top blown furnace, the effects of zinc content in concentrate on matte, slag and dust in copper top blown furnace system were systematically studied. The results show that the average grade of Zn in the furnace concentrate increases from 0.88% to 3.59%, the Zn content in matte increases from 0.68% to 2.16%, which is not conducive to the subsequent reduction of the Cu content in the blowing slag and refining slag. The increase of Zn content in electric furnace slag from 2.02% to 5.80% will lead to the precipitation of more Zn-containing Fe spinel solid phases at high temperatures, which will result in an increase tendency for the slag melting temperature. The Zn content in the uprising flue dust increases to 3.34%, and the increase of Zn-containing phase will lead to the introduction of Zn-Fe spinel with high melting point and high viscosity, which induces the formation of semi-molten or dense and hard nodules that are difficult to broken and removed. The dust efficiency of the electric dust collection system increases from 0.96% to 6.88%, and the Zn content in the dust increases from 4.25% to 8.44%, which will increase the burden of the electric dust collection system and reduce the dust removal efficiency. |
