Abstract:
Coal fly ash (CFA) is a bulk industrial solid waste generated from coal combustion in thermal power plants, which is rich in aluminum resources. Based on the dual drive of ecological and environmental benefits and the scarcity of bauxite resources in China, it is of great significance to recover aluminum resources from CFA. The methods of recovering aluminum resources from CFA by acid method, alkali method and other methods were mainly reviewed, and the main technical indexes such as alumina extraction rate, reaction temperature and acid-base concentration were compared. The advantages and disadvantages of the existing technologies are summarized and discussed. It is pointed out that the construction of upstream and downstream industrial chain is an urgent issue for the industrialization of aluminum resources recovery from CFA. It is suggested that closely combining with the development of local regional circular economy, the development of green, mild and new technology of comprehensive utilization of by-products is the only way to develop the comprehensive utilization industry of fly ash in the future.
