| Abstract: |
| Applying TiO2 powder, CaO powder, Al powder and B2O3 as raw materials, Al-Ti-B intermediate alloy powder was prepared by mixing, pressing and sintering. The physical phase composition, microscopic morphology and atomic valence states of the sintered products were analyzed by XRD, SEM-EDS and XPS characterization. The results show that the main phases of the sintered products are Al3Ti, TiB2, Al, CaAl4O7 and CaAl2O4 under the conditions including sintering temperature of 1 485 ℃, sintering time of 20 min, Ca/Al ratio of 1.6, and Ti/B ratio of 5. In the sintered products, Al3Ti and TiB2 are formed into blocky and small particles, which are uniformly distributed in the aluminum matrix. TiO2 has the phenomenon of step reduction in the reaction. Al-Ti-B intermediate alloy powder can be prepared by sintering method. |
