| Abstract: |
| Priority extraction of lithium from waste lithium-ion batteries can shorten the recovery process of lithium, and is an important means to improve the comprehensive recovery rate of lithium. Vacuum reduction method can provide new ideas for achieving this goal. Applying positive and negative electrode from dismantled lithium-ion batteries as raw materials, a method for extracting lithium by vacuum carbonthermal reduction and volatilization was proposed. Under the condition of high temperature and high vacuum degree, using graphite negative as reductant, Li2O in ternary lithium-ion battery is converted into Li vapor and recovered after volatilizing and condensing. The results show that under the optimal conditions include vacuum degree of 28 Pa and 1 200 ℃ for 4 h, the recovery rate of lithium by volatilization can reach 99.76%. This study has a guiding function on the development of new technology of vacuum extraction of lithium from waste lithium-ion batteries. |
