| Abstract: |
| Lithium was selectively and preferentially extracted from ternary cathode materials of spent ternary lithium-ion batteries (spent-NCM) by roasting with glucose (C6H12O6) - water leaching process. Under the optimum roasting conditions of roasting at 600 ℃ for 90 min, mass ratio of C6H12O6 to spent-NCM of 25%, and L/S ratio of 20 mL/g, the valuable metal elements in spent-NCM are transformed into water-soluble Li2CO3 and water-insoluble Ni, Co and MnO respectively. Li can be selectively and preferentially separated by water leaching with leaching rate of 95.62%. |
