| Abstract: |
| Geopolymer is an inorganic nonmetallic material activated by an aluminosilicate activator. It has several advantages, including a wide source of raw materials, simple preparation, low carbon emissions, high strength and durability. Geopolymer has a very broad application prospects. Geopolymers and their properties were introduced. The research status of raw material activation, activators, admixtures and curing systems in the preparation process were summarized. The application examples of geopolymers in the fields of gelling materials, heat insulation and sound absorption, catalysts, and sealing materials were listed. The problems that need further exploration in the preparation and application of geopolymers were also reviewed. |
