Abstract:
Nickel slag, as the metallurgical waste produced in the process of non-ferrous smelting, is treated in the form of storage, which has prominent environmental impact. But its iron content is high, it is a secondary utilization resource with great development prospect. The microcrystalline glass was prepared using secondary nickel slag as raw material, the effects of nucleation temperature, nucleation time, crystallization temperature, crystallization time and their interactions on the flexural properties of microcrystalline glass were investigated by response surface method and Box-Behnke principle. A model of flexural strength and each factor was established. The models between the flexural strength and each factor were established. The optimum heat treatment parameters were determined by simulation and optimization: nucleation temperature and crystallization temperature is 845 ℃ and 955 ℃ respectively, and nucleation time and crystallization time are both 80 minutes. The verification experimental results show that the main crystalline phase of the glass-ceramics is ferro-wollastonite and anorthite, and the average flexural strength reaches 126.78 MPa, which has little deviation from the predicted value of the model, indicating that the prediction model is reliable and effective and the process optimization is reasonable and feasible.
