Abstract:
In order to investigate the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on migration and morphology of inter-root uranium in plants, a variety of uranium-concentrated soils were configured based on the soils around uranium mines, and ryegrass was selected as test plant and Glomus intraradice (Gi) was selected as test strain to carry out potting experiments. The results show that ryegrass inoculation with Gi promotes the migration of uranium in soil to the inter-root and plant roots, and the distribution of uranium concentration from high to low is in ryegrass roots, inter-root soil and non-inter-root soil. The inoculation of Gi changes the existent morphology of uranium in the inter-root soil, and the percentage of active state uranium in ryegrass inter-root soil reduces from 32.6% to 30.0%, and the percentage of inert uranium reduces from 24.9% to 16.3%, while the proportion of potentially active uranium increases from 42.5% to 53.7%. Gi inoculation can promote the absorption of active uranium in ryegrass roots and the conversion of inert uranium to potentially active state uranium in inter-root soil.
