Abstract:
Address to incomplete groundwater remediation and long disposal cycles, a new treatment model was proposed based on the organic pollution of groundwater in a certain steelmaking site. In this model, the waterproof curtain was first built on the boundary of groundwater polluted area, and then the polluted groundwater and aquifer medium soil were cleaned up by the way of foundation pit excavation. The polluted groundwater was collected and treated by foundation pit dewatering, and the aquifer medium soil was repaired by ectopic thermal desorption. The results show that the permeability coefficient of the waterproof curtain is less than 1×10-7 cm/s, which avoids the diffusion of contaminated groundwater during the remediation process. After restoration, the concentration of benzo (a) pyrene in groundwater and soil is lower than the detection limit of 0.004 μg/L and 0.1 mg/kg respectively, and the removal rate of pollutants is close to 100%. The joint treatment model has the advantages of thorough pollution restoration and high efficiency, and opens up a new idea for the site groundwater restoration.
