| Abstract: |
| Nickel is an important strategic rare metal resource, and its high value extraction and utilization is of great significance. The recovery of nickel and cobalt from limonite-type laterite ore was studied by high temperature chlorination roasting, which provides a new idea for extracting and utilizing nickel and cobalt from limonite-type laterite nickel ore with high value. The effects of chlorination temperature, chlorination time, reducing agent, chlorination agent dosage, and silica dosage on the volatilization rate of nickel, cobalt, and iron were investigated. The optimum conditions obtained are as follows: After the raw material was pre-calcined at 900 ℃ for two hours, 36% calcium chloride, 12% silica and 1% coke are added, and chlorination roasting at 1 200 ℃ for two hours. The volatilization rate of nickel, cobalt and iron is 85.87%, 77.26% and 7.05%, respectively. |
