Abstract:
A process method and equipment for preparing sulfur through the reaction of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide in saline water were studied, which was used for the recovery and utilization of hydrogen sulfide in the tail gas of wet leaching of medium nickel matte. The effects of temperature, pH value of saline solution, and concentration of saline solution on the reaction efficiency and separation efficiency of sulfur were investigated. The experimental results show that when pH=2.0–3.0, temperature is 60 ℃, volume ratio of hydrogen sulfide to sulfur dioxide is 2, and the concentration of saline water is 5 g/L, the prepared sulfur can rapidly settle and the conversion rate of hydrogen sulfide is 99.5%. The wet short process method not only can produce high-purity sulfur from the flue gas generated by medium nickel matte, but also can recycle salt water and reduce the waste of water resources.
