| Abstract: |
| Development of new electrolytes and low-temperature aluminum electrolysis technology is one of the important ways to promote the reform and innovation in aluminum industry. A novel low-temperature molten salt was prepared by mixing N,N-dimethylbutylamine and anhydrous aluminum chloride. Experimental characterization results showed that this molten salt was a chloroaluminate-based ionic liquid, in which aluminum could be electrodeposited at low temperature. On this basis, the effects of experimental temperature, electrolytic potential and reaction time on the electrodeposition, surface morphology and chemical composition of aluminum were investigated in detail. Finally, high-purity aluminum was obtained. This research provides a scientific basis for the development of low-temperature aluminum electrolysis technology and its application in aluminum refining and electroplating. |
