Abstract:
The recycling and utilization of waste lithium-ion batteries is an important part of the development of the new energy battery industry, and the short-term high-value regeneration of waste cathode materials is an important development direction. This article proposes a high-temperature solid-state sintering and Mg | Se co doping strategy to solve the problem of upgrading and regenerating waste lithium cobalt oxide materials. The main method is to introduce doping elements into the lithium supplement of waste lithium cobalt oxide powder during high-temperature sintering, in order to achieve doping modification of the bulk phase. And it was found that this direct regeneration synergistic doping modification method can help improve the conductivity and structural stability of the material, thereby exhibiting excellent discharge specific capacity and cycle retention. However, this material will not alter the layered structure and particle morphology of the material. Recycled materials can release a first cycle specific capacity of 194194.6 mAh/g at a working voltage of 3.0~4.6V, and the capacity retention rate after 50 cycles can reach as high as 71.58%. And it has excellent high-rate electrochemical performance. This strategy is expected to provide a new direction for the regeneration of other waste positive electrode materials.
