| Abstract: |
| This paper summarized the status of Nickel and Cobalt resources and extraction technologies. In recent years The large nickel and cobalt sulfide mine has been seldom found. The development of technologies for extraction of nickel laterite is much faster than nickel sulfide. Especially with the application of RKEF and HPAL technologies nickel laterite has been widely exploited. The production of cobalt is mainly from Cu-Co ore and nickel laterite byproduct. Technologies for separation of Cu/Co and Ni/Co are widely used in the world. Finally this paper forecasted the technology trends in the future. |
