Abstract:
In China, the source of zinc concentrate is complex, the content of components fluctuates greatly, the ion species in zinc hydrometallurgy refining system are many, and the concentration difference between impurity ions and the main metal is large, resulting in the test signal masking, low precision and lagging control, which is difficult to meet the requirements of high-purity zinc production with long period and large plate. Through the electrochemical test of lead-silver anode plate with different concentrations of Mn2+ in 160 g/L Zn2+ electrolyte and the analysis of the morphology of anode slime deposition on the anode plate surface, the transport mechanism and interaction mechanism of Mn2+ concentration on metal ions during zinc electrolysis were revealed. The results show that 0—4 g/L Mn2+ can promote the lead corrosion of lead-silver anode plate in zinc electrolysis, the corrosion current density becomes larger, the impedance of electrolytic reaction decreases, and the electrical conductivity of electrolytic system is enhanced. When the concentration of Mn2+ is increased to 8 g/L, the lead corrosion of the anode plate is inhibited. Low concentration of Mn2+ promotes lead corrosion reaction.
