| Abstract: |
| Scientific research was carried out on the iron artifacts unearthed from the Han Dynasty tombs in Hepu County, Guangxi. The composition and microstructure of six iron artifacts unearthed from the tombs of Han dynasty in Hepu county of Guangxi Region were investigated by using scanning electron microscope with energy-dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS) and metallographic microscopy. The results show that the production of the cast iron and puddling steel had been wildly employed in Hepu county of Guangxi Region no later than the Western Han Dynasty, and that the technology of bloomery and cast iron employed simultaneously in Hepu Region of the Han Dynasty. The farming technologies of the central plains of China had been disseminated to the coastal areas of Guangxi Region no later than the Han dynasty. |
